Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Petrochemical clients to seek a Mechanical Engineer to join them on an initial 4-month assignment in Baytown, TX.
Responsibilities
- Support completion of job packages for the Chemical Plant.
- Develop engineering specifications and pipe specifications.
- Coordinate piping and valves requirements.
- Generate exchanger purchase specifications for vendor distribution.
- Review quotations received from vendors.
- Communicate effectively with vendors.
- Conduct design and drawing reviews.
- Provide approvals and oversee procurement processes.
- Manage API 510 repair packages.
- Prepare repair packages for piping, valves, and exchangers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Ideally experience with Static Equipment in the Petrochemical Industry.
- Advanced knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
