Summary/Objective: As a Mechanical Project Engineer specializing in Material Handling, with a focus on Cranes, Belt Conveyors, Reclaimer, and Screener for HBI and IOP projects, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of projects related to these specific equipment within our organization. You will collaborate closely with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects, from defining scope and specifications to construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities/Duties:
1. Create Statements of Work (SOW) and technical specifications for material handling projects, including Cranes, Belt Conveyors, Reclaimer, and Screener for HBI and IOP.
2. Review proposals and engineering designs from contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
3. Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and establish project timelines and budgets.
4. Support and coordinate construction activities, providing technical expertise and oversight to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
5. Coordinate commissioning activities, including equipment testing, troubleshooting, and optimization, to ensure smooth project handover and startup.
6. Follow the Continuous Improvement Project Management (CIPM) methodology for project management, implementing best practices and lessons learned to improve project outcomes.
7. Upload and review Bill of Materials (BOM), Project Management (PM) documents, Spare Parts lists, operation manuals, and engineering drawings in SAP or other relevant systems.
8. Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to source materials and components required for project implementation, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
9. Provide technical support and guidance to field personnel during installation, maintenance, and repair activities for material handling equipment.
10. Participate in project review meetings, providing updates on project progress, identifying risks and issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications
* Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
* 5-10+ years of engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
* Experience with cranes, belt conveyers and other material handling equipment
