Mechatronics Technician

Our Client is a highly reputable contractor primarily providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing services to new build and refurbishment projects throughout Malta.

A motivated and experienced Mechatronics Technician with a strong background in mechanical engineering, electronics and PLC’s is now required to work closely with other engineers and departments to deliver solutions that integrate mechanical, electronic and software components.

This role will cover full project lifecycle from concept through production, maintenance and repairs that may arise from time to time. You will be expected to stay up to date with the latest advancements in mechatronics and apply this knowledge to improve our products and processes.

Responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electronic, and software components.
• Resolving any technical issues during installation and during the lifetime of the equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Providing technical support and training to team members.
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Collaborating with suppliers for technical support as required.
• Preparing and presenting technical reports and presentations.
• Assisting with the development of new product concepts and ideas.

Talent will:

• Hold a minimum qualification of MQR Level 5 in Mechatronics Engineering
• Demonstrate proven experience in a similar role
• Have strong knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and software principles.
• Have experience with simulation and testing tools
• Possess strong communication skills
• Be familiar with PLC and logic controllers
• Have strong technical writing and documentation skills
