Candidate Profile

You are someone who possesses the following experience and credentials:

  •  Minimum experienced 1-3 years. 
  •  Economics/Math/Finance/Energy or similar bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  •  Strong command in English language.
  •  Good skills in Excel (advanced feature) 
  •  Programming skills (VBA Python) is a requirement.
  •  Good communication and organizational skills.
  •  Adaptable, Diplomatic and Team Player.

Activities

Your missions as a Middle Office Analyst include:

 Middle Office Control for assigned Crude and Refined Products books:

  • Responsible for all daily and monthly P/L reporting
  • Monitor and control daily trades and modifications to trades entered for accuracy and reasonableness, particularly those that could change price exposure.
  • Monitor, control and report daily pricing for physical purchases and sales activities, monitor and report physical and paper position and risk exposure versus the authorized limits.
  • Analyze, reconcile and manage hedge instruments: Executions on NYMEX and ICE,- clear Swaps, OTC Fwds, Swaps and Options. Control Authorized Daily Trading Limits and prepare reports for approval by the Trading -Desk Manager and Managing Director.
  • Provide statistical results, trades analysis and support needed to Trading Desks and -Management.
  • Interface with Operations personnel to ensure that all risk- and profit-related data are current and correct.
  • Reconcile monthly results.

DIMENSIONS

  • The jobholder is reporting to the Middle Office Manager and functionally to the Head of Middle Office Crude & Products in Geneva.
  •  Risk Control and Analysis for US trading and marketing activities.
  •  ATMI supports TotalEnergies North American refining supply and production in addition to international trading and marketing with TOTSA and third parties in Crude, Fuel Oil, Mid-Distillates, Gasoline and Naphtha products.
  •  ATMI activities include pipeline, vessels, storages and paper executions.

Context & Environment

  • Interface and internal coordination between all involved departments (Trading, Treasury, Credit, Trading Operations, Financial Control, Accounting, Shipping, Vetting, Demurrage).
  • The jobholder is very much in demand in a continuous way throughout the year.

PURPOSES

  • Monitor and verify all daily physical and paper activities.
  • Monitor and confirm all trading positions and risk exposure and ensure that they are within authorized limits.
  • Report accurate daily profit and loss results.
