This Operations and Mechanical (O&M) position requires pre-employment testing. Please read the job description in its entirety for additional information on accessing the assessment. The assessment should be completed by Sunday, March 24th, 2024.

What role you will play in our team

• A Millwright Technician safely installs, repairs, replaces, troubleshoots, and dismantles machinery and equipment.
• A Millwright Technician develops and submits modifications to improve equipment safety, performance and or improve equipment reliability and ensures compliance with all applicable safety standards and procedures.

What you will do

• Develops rotating equipment repair job scopes, procedures, safety and execution plans.
• Troubleshoot, repair and/or overhaul all types of rotating equipment.
• Assumes Permit Receiver responsibilities.
• Performs Job Safety Analysis (JSA) For each job.
• Validates equipment repair procedures or work spaces.
• Performs work in an orderly and efficient manner and maintains cleanliness of work areas.
• Climb ladders and/or perform work at elevations of 50 ft or more above grade.
• Repairs and returns shop repaired spare parts to stores.
• Sends vendor repaired spare parts to warehouse for repair.
• Enters equipment repair history in work notifications in SAP.
• Updates repair procedures if needed
   

About You

Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of precision measurement and alignment tools. 
• Understanding of Mechanical Sealing methods and bearing applications and their modes of failure.
• Experience working with rotating equipment – inspections, preventative maintenance and repair, including pumps, blowers, compressors, and feeders. 
• Experience working with operating shop and mobile equipment, including drill press, band saw, lathe, manlift, and forklift.
• Knowledge of (root cause) rotating equipment troubleshoot and failure analysis.
• Ability to identify job or safety hazards for all employees and mitigate hazards through use of approved methods.
• Safely isolate machinery equipment through Lock Out, Tag Out.
• Familiarity with machinery systems, including planning additions or modifications.
• Safely use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot, repair, replace, and test machinery equipment.
• Ability to make decisions based on safely completing the job, ensuring equipment reliability
• Demonstrated the ability to effectively develop, communicate and implement plans
• Effective in oral and written communications, including effective meeting skills
• Ability to work with others in a team environment, including working toward team goals
• Ability to qualify for a TWIC card.
• Willing and able to work in both indoor shops and in field outdoor settings”

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED with 5 to 7 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Desired: Journeyman Millwright State License preferred
• Mechanical/maintenance experience in a chemical plant (or other manufacturing plants)

Pre-employment Testing Requirement

This Operations and Mechanical (O&M) position requires pre-employment testing. After applying you will receive a pop up giving you access to the assessment. You may take the assessment at that time or utilize the instructions below to access the assessment at a time convenient for you.  Note that the assessment must be completed by the deadline in order for you to be considered for the O&M position for which you have applied. 
    
IMPORTANT

The O&M test has been revised.  Effective December 1, 2021 ALL candidates must complete the revised assessment.  Even if you have tested within the last 365 days (passed or failed), you must complete the revised assessment to be considered for this O&M opportunity.  Failure to complete the assessment by the deadline will result in your disqualification from consideration for this position.  

Test passed candidates will be screened by the hiring team and a subset invited for interview.  Note that a satisfactory result on the assessment does not guarantee an interview.
