Summary
The Night WO Supervisor shall undertake all activities in relation to the workovers to be performed as described by the COMPANY WO program. He/she should not modify the operation program without the approval of the Senior WO Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the implementation of the approved workover program(s).
- Responsible for the organization of the company’s daily workover operations according to the agreed programs and procedures at the rig site.
- Rig-site supervision of personnel engaged in the company’s workover programs (service companies).
- Issue written work instructions to key contractors.
- Prepare daily workover and cost reports for all workover operations to be sent to the Sfax office and partners.
- Support the Senior WO Supervisor to arrange in-time transportation of the company’s equipment, manage stock, and request supplies and services when needed.
- Hold pre-job safety meetings and JSA with concerned contractor/service company personnel to highlight potential hazards and advise on preventive measures.
- Implement COMPANY’s well site HSSE procedures and ensure proper application of such procedures.
- Responsible for safe and efficient operations (together with the Rig Contractor’s representative).
- Assist the Rig Contractor’s representative with safety and other training.
- In case of kick situations, follow COMPANY’s shut-in procedure in cooperation with the Rig Contractor’s representative and calculate the required kill mud weight.
- Report accidents, incidents, and environmental issues according to COMPANY’s procedures.
- Follow and implement COMPANY’s Environmental Management Plan for each workover site.
- Supervise Junior/Senior/Contractor personnel and companies’ rig personnel and the COMPANY WO team onsite (Laber, ESP Tech., etc.).
- Maintain records of all local regulations concerning operations, safety, and environment. Ensure these are applied to existing procedures.
- Consult the Senior WO Supervisor for any unplanned events/operations.
HSE Responsibilities
Each employee has the responsibility to ensure that the Company’s health, safety, and environmental provisions are maintained at the highest level. In particular, each employee:
Must observe all Company health, safety, and environmental instructions, act in a safe manner, and avoid unnecessary risks to themselves and others.
- Except for an approved maintenance or repair procedure, must not interfere with, remove, displace, or make ineffective any safeguard, safety device, equipment, or appliance provided for health, safety, and environmental purposes.
- Must make proper use of both Company and personal equipment whenever necessary and when instructed to do so.
- Must not engage in any occupations that require a certificate unless the relevant certificate or permit is held.
- Must not attempt any task unless they are capable and competent to carry out the task.
- Must communicate and live the COMPANY HSEQ management system to/with the operating personnel of the contractors.
Training, Experience and Skills Required
- Fluent in the English language (written & verbal); French language is a preference.
- Arabic knowledge is advantageous.
- Minimum 7 years proven professional experience as a Drilling/Workover Supervisor, including a minimum of 3 years as a WO Supervisor.
- Strong analytical approach with the ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems.
- Extensive knowledge of rig machinery and all aspects of downhole operations.
- Onshore, directional, and H2S experience.
- IWCF Level 4 (rotary drilling) valid certificate.
- Leadership skills.
- Team player.
- Written and verbal skills are mandatory.
- Strong personality with highly developed skills in leadership and communication.
- Good health to be able to work long hours under stress and hot ambient temperatures up to 55°C.
