What role you will play in our team

 

Responsible for executing daily filling plan / sequence including packaging to meet production & filling plan as per defined KPI’s, controlling and coordinating the day-to-day filling, receipts of empties and loading packed finish lube loading, and ensure plant efficiency. Responsible for manpower management, forklift management changeover time reduction Responsible for flush oil generation , segregation of different grades of oil , product and pack size changeover , shift handover procedure .To follow standard operating procedure (SOP).Responsible for  logbook updation ,Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) updation , weighment checks, verify  and updation. Responsible and accountable for troubleshoot the problem like De-bagger, Conveyor , filler ,Capper, Missed cap identification, labelling , cap- sealing ,carton  erector ,carton sealer machine ,robots, bottle and carton printing like batch number, manufacturing date, ,making artwork for the carton  ,check specific labels. Responsible for equipment to be  in operable condition. Responsible and to co-ordinate with maintenance team regarding breakdown/reliability/support. Responsible for batch yield preparation and updation.  Responsible for all filling related work in the lube oil industry. Responsible to ensure every material should be no contamination /no quality issue .Responsible to ensure safe working environment. Lead contractors team to maintain good housekeeping in plant (filling and warehouse) facilities to ensure a safe working environment.
Candidate must be willing to work in any shifts.
Job location- EM LOBP – Isambe village, Khalapur, Maharashtra (India)

 

What you will do

 

  • To oversee, manage and lead a group of contract workers in the filling operations in accordance with established work procedures to meet the production schedule, at the same time meeting all OIMS/ISO14001, GPIMS/ISO9001:2000, CIMS/HCP requirements as well.

  • Ensure that group of contract workers adhere strictly to correct PPE requirements per OIMS standards.

  • Ensure the filled products are on specification by proper flushing and filling to correct quantity and correct packages per packaging guide as outlined in GPIMS/ISO9001:2000 manuals.

  • To utilize facilities efficiently and in a manner to ensure zero product contamination and slop oil generation.

  • Receive and inspect empty packages/containers to ensure they meet specifications as stated in COA and ensure they are free from water, dirt, rust, and dents as per GPIMS/ISO9001:2000/ PPMS requirements. Complete relevant checklists to document these movements.

  • Prepare and startup filling machines, including:

    • Changing equipment setting, if necessary.

    • Verifying the product line up is done correctly.

    • Adjusting filling rate, timing and synchronizing the various machinery, and to shut down the machines upon completion.

  • Be familiar with pick and place robots, carton sealing machine, bottle labelling machine.

  • Basic knowledge of TPM ( Total Productive maintenance)

  • To be familiar with 5S ,KAIZEN

  • Data entry of the OEE reports for each filling line

  • Ensure daily stock management by use of issue/return slip for interaction with stores and reconciliation at the end oif the each shift

  • Setting brand names/batch number/product info are correctly applied onto packages.

  • Using proper tools and tackles for safety and quality of the product.

  • Using proper and correct caps, bottles, and cartons etc.

  • Carrying out proper line flushing for contamination control and collection of line sample.

  • From time to time, cover duties of Production Technicians of the same job group.

  • Any other activities associated with Blending / Filling as assigned by Packaging & Warehouse Supervisor or Shift Supervisor or Operation Manager respectively.

What you will do-Continued

 

  • Setting up the filling equipment to ensure correct quantity are filled in each package and documenting the filling accuracy checks. This includes checking the average tare weight of empty packages.

  • Setting the machine speed to run at optimal rate.

  • Optimize use of contractors by forward planning of work activities against the production & filling schedule.

  • Operate the filling/packaging equipment efficiently and ensure that empty, Drums, Containers, Caps are constantly supplied to the filling line. Filled containers/pack are capped/sealed and packaged efficiently to avoid jamming up the production line.

  • Carry out regular checks on the accuracy of filling machines and adjust the machines accordingly and document the filling weight checks and adjustments.

  • Monitor and keep count on packages filled and record on standard forms.

  • Participate in daily meeting, perform daily preventive maintenance, inspection, and housekeeping on the filling machines to ensure the equipment is kept in good condition, and inform the Shift Supervisor or stand-in of any deficiencies.

  • Perform weigh scales check for accuracy according to GPIMS/ISO9001:2000/ Packaging Process Requirements, CIMS/HCP established procedures.

  • Ensure that filling operations are carried out per OIMS/ISO14001, GPIMS/ISO9001:2000/Packaging Process Requirements, CIMS/HCP established procedures.

  • Ensure the quantities of all packages filled are verified and checked correct before transferring to warehouse.

  • Carry out daily toolbox meeting to knowledge sharing

  • Conduct regular work area checks to spot potential equipment failures, spillage, and breach of security and safety requirements. Intervene when required and report all observations timely.

  • Lead contract workers to diligently clean up filling area and carry out proper housekeeping activities before handing over to incoming shifts.

  • On need basis and if process forklift driving license, operate forklift to supplement contract forklift drivers.

  • Coordinate with finite Schedule/Planner, Shift Supervisor or stand-in and Laboratory personnel to optimize the filling sequence, line sample status to optimize throughput.

Security, Safety, Health & Environment (SSHE)

 

  • Ensures safe working environment with zero accidents.

  • Ensure contractors adhere to established standard maintenance procedures and JLA (Job Loss Analysis).

  • Familiar with Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) expectations on the maintenance of plant facilities.

  • Participate in safety walks, inspection, near miss reporting, Loss Prevention Self-Assessment (LPSA) and LPS.

  • Familiar with Work Control, Work Permit procedures, and Tier 1 Best Practices (T1BP).

  • Participate in safety survey (e.g., Industrial Health survey etc.) as required by management to follow up on recommendation/action items for gaps closure.

  • Ensure that all waste materials are disposed in compliance with Government Regulations and Company Environmental Policy.

  • Ensure seamless taking over/ handover of plant equipment to Operations personnel to ensure equipment can be safely taken out of service/put back into service with proper documentation.

 

Product Integrity

 

  • Familiar with Brand and Product Integrity management System (BPIMS)/ISO 9001:2000 guidelines and requirements, and brand integrity.

 

Controls

 

  • Familiar with ExxonMobil’s System of Management Control – Basic Standards, Policies and Corporate Oil Measurement Practices e.g., Hydrocarbon Control Practices (HCP), Controls Integrity Management Systems (CIMS), etc.

  • Familiar with HCP/CIMS/ Industrial Control System Requirements (ICSR)/IT Controls Manager (ITCM) requirements.

  • Familiar with ICSR/ISRMP requirement.

  • Ensure all measuring equipment are calibrated timely and in accordance with HCP requirements.

About You

  

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in lubricant blending industry

  • Diploma/ITI/Engineering in Mechanical or production stream.

  • Hands-on experience in filling operation in lube oil blending plant

  • Familiar with work permits process

  • Familiar with filling tolerance and standards of weight and measurement compliance requirements.

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

 

  • Possess mechanical, production  and/or electrical knowledge with hands on experience in lubricating blending  /oil / oil & gas / petrochemical operating or manufacturing plant.

  • Knowledge of weights & measurements regulations.

  • Licensed forklift and articulated forklift operator, hand operated pallet truck, battery operated pallet truck.
