About the Role
The primary objective of this role is to effectively manage and administer the company’s salary packaging services, ensuring that all employees have access to and understand the full range of benefits available. Based in our Port Moresby Office, this role is crucial in maintaining compliance with relevant PNG legislation while delivering outstanding customer service to internal staff.
As the P&C Administrator (Salary Packaging), you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders—including People & Culture, payroll, vendor records, finance, and tax departments—to facilitate seamless and efficient review, processing, and administration of salary packaging arrangements.
Key accountabilities include:
- Oversee and manage all salary packaging components, including rental, housing, vehicles, and education as the process owner.
- Serve as the Salary Packaging Subject Matter Expert, acting as the primary interface between employees and internal departments such as Vendor Records, Payroll, and Accounts Payable.
- Administer the complete end-to-end process for salary packaging, including setup, maintenance, and closure of packages for PNG employees.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of salary packaging deductions, perform reconciliations, and complete the Grid Payment Template for fortnightly payroll-to-Accounts Payable authorisations.
- Monitor and interpret changes in PNG legislation, communicating updates to employees and stakeholders, and ensuring strict compliance with salary packaging laws and taxation requirements.
- Conduct monthly audits of employee salary packaging applications to ensure compliance with IRC limits and the ’60/40 split,’ reviewing leases, lessor details, and Supplier Detail Forms with oversight from the PNG HR Manager or delegate.
About You
You will be experienced in:
- Salary packaging administration or payroll processing.
- Using payroll and HR information systems (HRIS).
- P&C administration and employee benefits.
- Time management skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
Ideally you will have strong numerical and excel skills, and experience in SAP/Success Factors. You are a team player with a high level of oral and written communication skills.
