What do we expect from you
The successful candidate will form part of the Planning and Performance Division within the company . The Division is charged with the business planning, performance management, economic analysis and business risks amongst other skills sets.
The Head of planning and economics coordinates and manage the Planning & Economics Analysts to provide high value, quality and timely economic valuations across the asset lifecycle as required within the organization and to facilitate the development of the company’s E&P Business Plan.
Key responsibilities
- Support the delivery of E&P projects by leading the economics delivery team on economic valuation as required by the organization: included but not limited to asset valuation, corporate valuation and support into the Business plan
- Support the delivery of E&P projects by performing economic valuation as required by the organization: included but not limited to asset valuation, corporate valuation and support into the Business plan.
- Economic valuation execution across the organization (asset valuation in all E&P cycle, corporate valuation) through economic modelling of fiscal terms as per country and legislation in place
- Planning and development of the Business Plan for the company
- Facilitation of the Division, Unit/Field and Functional Business Plans, defining precise targets and focusing in activities
- Collection, analysis and consolidation of data for preparing the Business Plan, ensuring consistent and realistic long and short-term operational plans
- Reconcile Business Plans with previous plans to ensure consistency and variation analysis
- Integration of Business Planning and financial planning
- Support on commercial overview of E&P activities to head of Strategy and Portfolio for management activities
- Provide leadership and insight into the key drivers / risks and constraints underpinning the economic analysis, and communicate these effectively to the head of Planning & Performance division as well as other internal stakeholder (Asset Managers, Technical Manager or Project Manager)
- Management of team:
- Appropriate resourcing of planning and economic analyst to E&P projects
- Prioritization of activities/deliveries
- Training to support ongoing business activities and capability gap closure
- Role model leadership support for HSEQ culture
- Supporter business efficiency and operational excellence
What are we looking for
- Bachelor degree in technical/engineering discipline.
- Preferred a Master in Petroleum Economics.
- Fluent in English.
- 10+ years of Economic Analysis experience in the E&P sector (Petroleum Economics)
- Proven track record of knowledge of global fiscal regimes including, but not limited to PSC and Concessions in at least all the countries the company’s E&P is present in all the E&P cycle and its parametrization trough an economic model.
- Proven track record for delivering projects to schedule, giving support in different stages of the E&P cycle and from an economic analysis perspective Proven track record of developing people
- Strong analytic and planning skills is required
- Strong collaboration skills is required
- Knowledge of risk & uncertainty methodologies for valuation E&P projects is required
- Excellent communication skills are required
- Knowledge of Finance is preferred
