Position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the mechanical equipment of a new 300 MMSCFD cryogenic natural gas processing plant in the Delaware Basin. The Plant Mechanic is responsible for the installation, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of plant equipment which includes but is not limited to the following:
* Natural gas and liquids separation & filtration
* Condensate stabilization
* Amine treating and gas dehydration
* Turbine, reciprocating, and screw compression
* Turbine power generation
* Propane refrigeration
* Natural gas cryogenic processing
* CO2 compression, treating, and dehydration
* Reverse Osmosis water treating & pumps
* Heat exchangers & air coolers
* Transmitters, valves, actuators, and other instrumentation
* Gas and liquids measurement equipment
* PLCs and plant control, safety, and communications systems
* PDC, MCC, transformers, breakers, wiring, motors, VFDs, generators, and additional electrical equipment
* Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
In addition, the Plant Mechanic will be a key contributor to EOG’s proactive safety culture. This is a unique grass-roots opportunity in which the Plant Mechanic will play a role in the construction of the facility, along with the development of plant maintenance and operating procedures. The Plant Mechanic will interface regularly with instrumentation & electrical technician, plant operator, engineering, control room, supply chain, management, environmental, and safety teams. The ideal candidate will possess a broad knowledge of equipment maintenance and operations and have a proven track record as a leader. Position will be based at the Janus Plant site near Mentone, Texas. Position will have a rotational schedule of day shifts with night call-out responsibilities during the shift. Housing will be provided during the shift.

* Serve as a safety leader in EOG’s proactive safety culture
* Operate and maintain the plant mechanical equipment in accordance with operating procedures
* Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot plant equipment
* Optimize plant preventative maintenance program to improve plant safety, reliability, and efficiency
* Perform equipment testing and commission plant equipment and systems
* Execute and document work orders and support plant mechanical integrity program
* Plan and conduct plant outages and related maintenance safely and efficiently
* Complete Management of Change (MOC) tasks with required documentation
* Manage and track parts, inventory, consumables, work orders, and costs
* Coordinate with operations and safety teams to ensure Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance
* Verify Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and participate in periodic plant PHA’s
Qualifications:
* Unwavering commitment to personnel safety and regulatory compliance
* Three years of Plant Mechanic or related experience preferred
* Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, control, and safety systems
* Strong knowledge of cryogenic plant operations, equipment, & maintenance
* Excellent problem solving, communication, and leadership skills
* Experience in PSM facilities and CMMS programs is considered a plus
* Knowledge of turbine compression & power generation is considered a plus
* Ability to work in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment
* High School diploma
