Description
The Portfolio Manager will have responsibility for developing and coordinating programs for corporate IT capability teams to accelerate capabilities within ConocoPhillips. This role is expected to establish standard approaches, identify dependencies, and share learnings across other Program Managers embedded in other capabilities and Digital & IT BU teams. This role can expand to include establishing the governance and measures to ensure our Managed Service Providers meet or exceed our standards.
Job Description
Your responsibilities may include:
- Creating roadmaps for corporate IT program development and improvement
- Working with ITLT and team to maintain strategy
- Lead cross-functional teams through full program lifecycles by defining scope/success criteria, setting expectations, establishing timelines, implementing solutions, and measuring success and lessons learned
- Develop, implement, and iterate program management procedures, frameworks, and metrics to achieve business goals with defined success criteria
- Identify program risks and drive the implementation of recommended mitigations
- Coordinate vendor discussions/engagements and formalized strategic alignment engagements
- Maintain budgets, forecasts and coordinate billing across the portfolio
- Ensure portfolio is focused on developing and operationalizing program objectives
- Ensure portfolio is maintained in a clear and consistent roadmap aligned to strategy
- Engage with peer program managers to identify dependencies and synergies between portfolio and projects
- Encourage new ways of looking at problems, processes or solutions
- Work with other Program Managers and Organizational Change Management resources to define, maintain, and communicate a rolled-up portfolio view of change impacts for communication to leadership
- Manage dependencies and planned changes across programs to reduce change impacts to stakeholders
Basic/Required:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, related field, or foreign equivalent
- 10 or more years of Information Technology experience
- 10 or more years of program management experience
Preferred:
- Master of Business Administration or higher education
- PMP certifications and/or Lean-Portfolio Management certification
- Intermediate knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry
- Responds resourcefully, flexibly and positively when faced with challenges and demand
- Constantly searches for and implements new ways of managing projects within overall program
