The position

By joining our team in Exploration & Production International you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be a role model for safety, diversity, and inclusion. 
  • Provide technical support and act as the focal point for Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS)/ Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) matters.
  • Responsible to implement minor modifications and improvement projects, ensuring safety, cost-effectiveness, timeliness, and adherence to Company standards and be responsible for troubleshooting and field repair of F&G systems, providing technical support for instrument technicians.
  • Prepare relevant and appropriate maintenance interventions relating to applicable ICSS systems, PLC systems and other integrated automation packages.
  • Ensure that maintenance management is followed by identifying and reporting malfunctions in SAP, executing work orders and providing a proper conclusion feedback. Collaborating to maintenance plan review.
  • Liaise with vendors and the original equipment manufacturers for all queries regarding maintenance, drawings, modifications, resolution of technical problems.
  • Contribute and stimulate others to participate in the company safety initiatives.
  • Participate on commissioning phase of new projects, inside or outside Brazil.
  • Propose changes in practices and plans to improve reliability and efficiency of Automation systems (ABB 800xA and Siemens) and telecom equipment’s.

  • Automation Technician Degree with eligibility to hold and active CFT or equivalent Engineering with active CREA.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as Control System Technician on board of production facilities, preferably FPSO’s.
  • Good verbal and written Portuguese language skills and desirable good command of English (read technical documentation).
  • Strong knowledge on distributed controls system, instrumentation (control valves and process variables), Fire and Gas system and familiarized with Telecommunication equipment’s.
  • Technical knowledge to read and interpret technical drawings, Cause and Effect matrix, and P&ID’s.
  • Efficient in use of maintenance management systems, preferable SAP, and efficient in using office computer systems. 
  • Embraces cooperation and open collaboration as essential ways of working. Proactive by nature, takes initiative and can work independently as needed. Gives and receives constructive feedback and is motivated by continuous improvement.
  • Understand and manage the risk.  
  • Strong knowledge and experience working on ABB 800xA and Autronica F&G system, safety instrumented system and familiarized with Fiscal metering.
