The position

By joining our team in Renewables you will have the opportunity to:

  • Play an important role in shaping and accelerating the energy transition and Equinor’s profitable growth within renewables.
  • Be part of a global category management team in REN Procurement, developing and leading the Prepare for Operation procurement category team. 
  • Work with internal customers to develop internal demand forecast to allow for optimisation and predictability in supply chain demand. 
  • Be responsible for building and maintaining a capable and competent team of procurement professionals that delivers efficient and high-value service to our internal customers.
  • Be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining Prepare for Operation category strategies for Equinor’s global asset portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Prepare for Operation Product Line manager to ensure a strategic approach recognized both in the supplier market and internally in our company.
  • Collaborate with product lines and other category segments ensuring an aligned overall category management.
  • Work with the Business Line project and Product Line teams, to develop the overall project specific procurement strategies for operations, that identifies risk and opportunities to maximise leverage at the EPC tender stage.
  • Be responsible for demand and market analysis in both global and local markets.
  • Enhance Equinor’s supply chain management quality by ensuring compliance with internal governing systems and requirements, with specific focus on integrity due diligence and business integrity risk, safety, sustainability and human rights in the supply chain and commercial aptitude. 
  • Proactively ensure high quality stakeholder management both internally and towards suppliers as well as develop and maintain strong supplier relations with key suppliers.

  • Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, with a minimum of 5-7 years work experience within offshore wind (preferred) or onshore wind operations procurement.
  • Experience from working with operational procurement and category management within renewables, preferably offshore wind.
  • Excellent awareness of offshore wind supplier markets and understanding of establishing and promoting local content. 
  • Experienced in supporting large scale and high value activities with the ability to identify and manage risk. 
  • Demonstrable ability to forge strong stakeholder relationships and skilled in developing, utilising and extending network of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic and commercial mindset with extensive negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate across disciplines within a cross functional team, both in early phase and execution.
  • A team leader that can coach and develop employees.
