Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Production Loss Focal Point, based in Aberdeen.
The production loss focal point is responsible for coordinating reservoir and well surveillance plans and providing Technical Support and ensuring well production surveillance workflows. Assist with integrated production assessments and well review coordination. Oversee production loss management processes including risk assessment, prevention strategy, and investigation of unplanned losses.
Providing support to the asset and production teams. Overall this role will optimise production efficiency through effective coordination and technical input.
Responsibilities:
* Identification and implementation of production improvement initiatives and opportunities through the application of production loss elimination techniques & processes. Activitely promotes same within the organization for consideration within the long term asset plan and business planning process.
* Owner and responsible leader of the production loss reporting and reconciliation process and Triton asset choke model. Accountable for process adherence within the Triton assessment organization.
* Ensures the production loss reporting and reconciliation process is fit for purpose by promoting and driving improvements to the process and tools applied (software, review schedule and cycle).
* Accountable for NSTA Production Efficiency Stewardship Returns, ensuring data accuracy and precision and that agreed deadlines are complied with.
* Custodian of the opportunity inventory, ensuring seamless hand off to business planning and long term asset planning.
* Responsible for facilitation and leadership of key, major production loss incidents above a predetermined threshold.
* Collaborates with technical professionals across the Tier 1 and 2 organisations to ensure opportunity and risks are capture.
* Owner of the asset opportunity and risks register (production domain).
* Contributes to the well review process.
* Develop and contribute to preparation of technical and commercial justification for production improvement,
* Prepare input for partners meetings and annual production reports (Regulatory and Corporate).
* Identify and scope requirements for 3rd party studies and manage same.
* Occasional offshore visits to supervise execution of critical projects, and to interface with offshore team (min. one visit per quarter).
* Collaboration – Works collaboratively and ensures that all teams demonstrate the willingness and ability to collaborate with others to achieve results via networking, knowledge sharing and joint problem solving.
* Capability Development – Identifies and utilises opportunities to develop through commitment to personal development
Requirements:
*Relevant varied process/petroleum/production/reservoir engineering experience in a production operations environment, preferably with a major operator.
* Demonstrable analytical and problem solving capability.
* Knowledgeable about change management processes., with exposue to change
* Significant experience of technical offshore operations, ideally with experience working on an offshore production facility – fixed platform, FPSO or FPV.
* Working knowledge of production loss management processes and familiar with draft white paper, SPE-36846-MS, Production Efficiency Reporting – Best Practise Guidance (2016), NSTA Stewardship Expectation 6 (Integrated Field Management), NSTA Flaring and Venting Guidance, NSTA Production Consent Guidance & NSTA Production Efficiency Guidance and associated processes and statutory obligations.
* Working knowledge and ability to apply the Choke Model with respect petroleum extraction, as defined by Goodwin, SPE-36848-MS within daily production loss attribution and annual governmental returns.
* Working knowledge of root cause analysis principles and incident investigation techniques.
* Working knowledge of cycle E&P disciplines from sand face to point of sale (reservoir, wells, facility, export and terminals)
* Excellent presentation and report writing skills.
* Effective relationship builder at all levels, both internally & externally
