Job Title: Project Engineering Manager (outside IR35)
Location: Aberdeen
Duration of Assignment: 12 months
Project Scope: The Project Engineering Manager will be responsible for delivering a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) project for our client, ensuring seamless coordination between all offices involved in the project.
Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Management:
- Manage external stakeholders (client-facing) and internal stakeholders (lead disciplines, engineering centers).
- Oversee project controls, procurement, and third-party contractors or suppliers.

Project Execution:
- Perform duties with minimal supervision and within agreed schedules and budgets.
- Handle change management processes as required.
- Ensure design consistency across multi-discipline engineering design activities.
- Provide necessary input and support for project progress and reporting.

Project Phases:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to deliver the project from Pre-FEED, FEED, to detailed design.
- Work on Pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design, or EPC projects as required.

Client and Specification Compliance:
- Ensure compatibility and conformance with client specifications.
- Recommend cost-effective improvements to equipment selection/specifications within the scope of client requirements.

Design Review and Approval:
- Participate in and potentially lead multi-discipline Engineering Design Reviews.
- Provide input and approval for closing out actions.

Strategic Planning:
- Assist in strategic procurement planning, including long lead items enquiry.

Reporting and Documentation:
- Report to the Project Manager and Line Manager as required.
- Prepare necessary project documentation, including the Project Execution Plan, Level 3 Schedule, and Document Registers.

Risk and Quality Management:
- Maintain the Risk & Opportunity register, Assumptions, and Decisions register.
- Ensure the quality of all engineering deliverables produced by the business.
Corporate Reporting Line:
- Report to the respective Departmental/Group Manager.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing FEED projects.
- Strong understanding of multi-discipline engineering design activities.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with change management processes.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and reporting skills.
