The position
By joining our team in Marketing, Midstream & Processing you will have the opportunity to:
Lead and develop project deliverables towards ongoing LCS projects from early phase to approaching financial investment decisions (FID) / Decision gate 3 (DG3) where appropriate.
Lead and project manage cross discipline project teams to deliver on LCS projects coordinating and implementing governance and compliance of Equinor’s and partner Capital Value Process (CVP).
Ensure appropriate statutory, regulatory, and technical standards are applied to the front-end engineering, evaluation, and development of concepts.
Build and develop new value chains and identify and mature potential partnerships/JV structures including commercial modelling and financing for LCS projects.
Use creative thinking to drive innovative solutions and scenarios through influential thought leadership within the LCS team (new and ongoing projects) and bring this into the managed projects and share Equinor wide.
Assist with business development opportunities/projects to create competitive investment propositions and deliverable execution models.
Identify, implement, and nurture key / strategic supplier relationships to support and compliment LCS capabilities and delivery of early-stage projects.
Support the preparation of technical elements of bids for associated funding or business support models.
As a project leader, you will be part of a small team of highly qualified professionals responsible for shaping and executing Equinor’s Low Carbon future portfolio. The role requires an experienced project delivery engineer who can manage first of a kind low carbon projects.

Master’s degree or equivalent in technology, engineering, science, economics, business administration, or similar with demonstrable extensive experience in high value energy or infrastructure projects.
Experience with project development in Hydrogen or CCS (Carbon Capture and storage) is an advantage.
Experience with the Capital Value Process (CVP) and applying to other partner operated projects is preferred.
A good understanding of the broader energy landscape, existing UK hydrogen policy, the political system, regulatory and policy frameworks, and ability to apply applicable learnings to help set the strategy within managed projects.
Curiosity, passion and knowledge towards CO2, hydrogen storage and hydrogen technologies especially electrolysers and salt cavern storage.
Task prioritisation and timely conversion from strategy into execution with a focus on project risk management.
Excellent Communication, Collaboration, Networking and Stakeholder management skills with the ability to get into details but also deliver a concise summary and recommendation to management.
