Seaway7 is looking for a Project Services Manager to join our team in the Zoetermeer office on a full time basis.
The Project Services Manager will be engaged with commercial and contractual facets of the project throughout the full phase of project execution until completion and final close out. As a Project Services Manager, you will be working closely with the Project Director, Project Engineering Manager, Cost Controller, Planning Engineer, and Project Supply Chain Manager, functioning as a key member of the project management team.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- As a key member of the project management team you will proactively contribute in setting the project strategy through all phases of the project
- Identify solutions to commercial challenges in a project environment with short, medium and long term strategies
- Management of all commercial facets of the project including contract management, planning, document control, risk and cost management
- Ensure compliance with the Client Contract and Seaway7 procedures, processes and guidelines, with the support of the various other project functions
- Promote the contract and commercial awareness within the project team. Ensure that the project revenue and profit is optimized in liaison with the Project Manager, with due consideration for company-wide requirements and seeking opportunities to improve project performance, both through additional work and optimization of existing scope
- Identify risks and opportunities, advise the team accordingly, and identify corrective action in order to mitigate the risk or realise the opportunity
- Support the project SCM team, to ensure that procurement and subcontracts are conducted and managed in compliance with the Client contract and Seaway7 procedures
- Work together with SCM to establish and negotiate Subcontracts
- Ensure that the Project Manager is provided with support and advice with regards to Cost Control, Planning and Document Control
- Fulfil the contract management role on the project, ensuring compliance with contract obligations and timely notifications
- Coordinate project interfaces with the legal department, insurance, and treasury team and contract management as appropriate when dealing with client disputes, insurance cases, disputes etc.
- Develop the change management process to identify change, in association with the project team
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM
- Degree (can be in Finance/Economics, Engineering or Law/Legal Studies). Relevant experience may replace the requirement for a degree
- Minimum 10 years relevant previous experience
- Profound knowledge and interest in contracts and commercial Experience in dealing with disputes and negotiations with Client and/ or Subcontractors
- A basic understanding of the technical aspects of the renewables industry
- Demonstrates financial awareness; controls costs and thinks in terms of profit, loss and added value. Identifies business opportunities for the organisation
- Relates well to people at all levels and easily establishes good client relations
- Very good supervisory and leadership skills, as this role also involves managing a team of discipline experts
- Understanding of clients’ needs and ability to suggest and apply “fit for purpose” solutions
