Partner with the best
Join the Brush Power Generation Quality Department based in Ashby-De-La-Zouch, Leicestershire. This position will involve travelling to our Brush Power Generation site in Leicester, and to suppliers within the UK, and occasionally overseas. Supplier travel is to audit suppliers, perform inspection of Brush product and follow up/close out non-conformances.
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Verifying the Quality of critical features during manufacture of Electrical Controls Products and Generator Spare Parts at Suppliers in line with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
Attending project, test, engineering meetings when required.
Providing support and back up to the Quality Management team when required.
Collating data for monthly KPI’s.
Working with other departments to facilitate improvement activities and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
Checking supplier test and calibration records against required standards.
Attending and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Customer Final and Packing Inspections for Electrical Controls Products.
Producing the necessary quality records for all relevant inspection checks performed.
Preparing Project Quality folder with the necessary Quality, Test, Supplier Records and Photos.
Producing quality documentation required for customers such as Certificates of Conformity and Quality Dossiers.
Raising and manage Internal / External NCR’s using 8D format, inputting into the Brush NCR system.
Being involved with the management of actions needed to resolve snag list items found during test and inspection of Electrical Controls Products.
Conducting Supplier and Internal audits in line with the audit schedule producing the required audit reports.
Management of the Approved Supplier register.
Management of the Calibration Register for measuring and test equipment.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a HNC in mechanical/electrical engineering.
Have proven experience in manufacturing / engineering environment would be advantageous.
Have an accreditation as Internal/External auditor for ISO 9001/14001/45001 would be advantageous.
Have experience in customer facing roles.
Have experience in working with suppliers to improve quality of product.
Have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Have the ability to use a range of manual measuring equipment.
Have good analytical skills and problem solving.
Well organized, and good communicator on all levels with internal departments and external suppliers.
Have the ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
