Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Reliability Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Conduct all activities in a safe and effective manner and raise safety and environmental issues immediately and in line with the company’s policy
* Undertake the role in line with the company’s corporate policy and demonstrate their core values at all times. Readily accepts accountability
* Carry out duties in a way that maximises value and minimises waste and risk.
* Review and evaluate analysis of condition monitoring data to ensure proposed recommendations are robust, value adding and implemented via the Maintenance Management System (Maximo).
* Liase with CM vendor to ensure support requests are delivered in a timely manner
* Proactively monitor, review and analyse plant and equipment performance to identify opportunities to maximise reliability and availability and also to share best practice.
* Conduct reliability analysis to identify bad actors and eliminate defects in a systematic and sustainable way, using company data sources such as MMS, PI Historian etc.
* Lead investigations into production losses, failed equipment, repeat offenders (Bad Actors) when required, facilitating Apollo Root Cause Analysis cause and effect tree sessions where appropriate
* Develop tools and techniques to monitor and report on critical asset equipment operating status to improve production efficiency including equipment out of service dashboards.
* Produce regular reports, reliability data and trends as directed by asset teams or Team Lead.
* Be available to travel offshore as required to kick off initial investigation activities to equipment failures
* Complete Failure Mode and Effects Criticality Analysis as required for the critical equipment
* Facilitate updates to Reliability, Availability and Maintainability models, which involves liaising with RAM model provider, data extraction from company systems and calculations of MTBF and MTTR.
* Performs other duties, completes additional tasks and supports ad hoc projects as required
* Collaborate with others in the team and looks for opportunities to leverage their network and work with others to develop safe, practical and effective solutions
* Look for opportunities to develop technical and personal skills both by formal learning interventions and work experience.

Requirements:
* Experience working for or with an Offshore Operator delivering improvements in equipment uptime
* The ability to effectively manage the development, implementation and optimisation of effective, vendor supported, condition monitoring programs
* Experience in developing FMECA based maintenance strategies and evaluating effectiveness of existing strategies.
* Effective relationship builder at all levels, internally and externally. Ability to influence at all levels.
* Experience in leading investigations to equipment failures.
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in management of change processes and requirements.
* Ability to work independently and in a flexible team environment, effectively handling cultural, political and economic differences.
* Ability to interrogate and extract relevant data from Maximo MMS to perform role

Essential
* Degree (or relevant industry experience) in a relevant technical subject
* Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST)
* Offshore Medical
* Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)
* Recognized qualification in facilitating Route Cause Analysis via 5 Whys / Apollo techniques.
* Demonstrable experience in delivering all key element required by this role

Desirable
* Professional Registration
* Experience in machinery Vibration and Oil Analysis
* Cat II (or preferably Cat III) certification in Vibration Analysis per ISO 18436-2:2014
* Cat I (or preferably Cat II) certification in Field Lubricant Analysis per ISO 18436-4:2014
* Lead Management Systems Auditor Qualified
* Management System Development and Experience
* Lead Incident Investigation Qualified
* Displays business acumen and judgment, as well as emotional and professional maturity.
* Able to gain the confidence of partners and senior management team with excellent relationship building and management skills.
* Results-oriented, articulate, persuasive.
* Highest standards of ethical and professional behaviour, consistent with the company’s values for safety, respect and integrity.
