The position

By joining our team in Technology, Digital & Innovation you will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to shaping our future and setting direction for tomorrow’s technology development portfolio within oil and gas, and low carbon value chains.
  • Work with R&D projects within oil processing and crude quality assessment to help Equinor to reach their strategic ambitions.
  • Perform specialist services within oil process design, optimisation and trouble shooting.
  • Work on a broad range of tasks from laboratory campaigns to theoretical desk-top studies.
  • Lead R&D projects and qualify new solutions all the way to implementation in collaboration with our end-users in Projects and Operations.
  • Develop yourself together with a highly qualified team, in an inspiring and caring work environment.

You

  • MSc or PhD education in chemistry/chemical engineering with specialisation within petrochemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry or similar.
  • 5 years of relevant experience from oil processing, assessment of crude quality, oil refining or upgrading.
  • Experience from experimental work in above subjects.
  • Experience with software tools such as Python, PowerBI and Mathlab.
  • Experience of leading R&D projects and with the drive to deliver according to plan.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently in a multi-disciplinary environment across multiple locations.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
