What role you will play in our team

 

The primary role for the Risk and Process Safety Advisor is to help ensure that ExxonMobil Risk and Process Safety expectations are met, including management of Highest Consequence Scenarios / Major Accident Hazards. This includes regular interaction with SBM Operations and Process Safety Engineering to understand the status of Critical Safeguards for Highest Consequence Scenarios, participating in Risk Assessments (RAs), tracking action items from RAs and other studies, updating weekly and monthly reports, classification of Process Safety Events per ExxonMobil practices and IOGP 456, and participating in Incident Investigations and follow-up actions.

 

The job will be located in Georgetown, Guyana with travel offshore when needed.

What you will do

 

List the set of primary job duties, tasks, and functions specific to the position: 

 

  • Preparing for and participating in the FPSO Bowtie Health Reviews
  • Facilitating timely Upline Notifications of degraded Critical Safeguards/SECEs
  • Steward Leading and Lagging indicators and other Process Safety KPIs
  • Manage Risk and Process Safety input to stewardship reporting (weekly asset reports, monthly BPRs, quarterly OICs, etc.)
  • Risk Assessment cold eyes reviews for assets 
  • Incident Management assistance (e.g., IOGP 456 [ExxonMobil’s IIHL–Part III], and other incident questions that would be reported above the business line)
  • Coordinates and participates in review of Process Safety / Loss Prevention studies 
  • Regulatory interpretation consistency across sites 
  • Provide support role to Management of Change risk evaluations, as appropriate

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications
 

List the set of required qualifications that applicants must have to complete the job duties and responsibilities:

  • B.S or equivalent work experience
  • Engineering experience
  • Knowledge of process operations (preferably oil and gas, but other process operations knowledge/experience is acceptable)
  • Ability to travel offshore

 

Preferred Qualifications / Experience
 

  • Process Safety and/or Risk Assessment and Management knowledge / experience
  • Participation in and/or facilitation of Hazard and Operability Reviews
  • Participation in incident investigations
