Are you a Safety Case Engineer looking for your next venture? Join a global leading independent Oil & Gas company and get involved in developing, maintaining, reviewing, and submitting Offshore Safety Cases (SC) and Onshore COMAH Safety Reports (CSR) to support business critical operations. They currently manage safety documentation for 2 critical COMAH sites and 36 offshore assets. This is a full-time office based role in Norwich on a permanent staff basis.

Key Responsibilities: Safety Case Engineer

– Manage and submit Safety Case/CSR documentation to regulatory agencies.

– Coordinate and assess material changes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

– Maintain hazard management and QRA data.

– Facilitate Safety Case/CSR updates for planned operational work.

– Engage with stakeholders, workforce, and verification bodies for Safety Case/CSR updates.

– Support QSHE team commitments and regulatory compliance.

– Oversee Safety Case/CSR review process and maintain supporting documents.

– Identify resource needs to manage workload peaks.

 

Key Requirements: Safety Case Engineer

– Higher technical qualification, preferably in engineering or a related discipline.

– Chartered Engineer status is desirable but not essential.

– 10+ years with Offshore UKCS Oil and Gas Operators, top-tier COMAH sites, or the Competent Authority.

– In-depth knowledge of Safety Case and COMAH regulations, and supporting legislation (PFEER, DSEAR, PSR, etc.).

– Experience in writing and developing QRA and Safety Cases reports.

– Collaborative experience in multi-discipline teams.

– Knowledge of planning, cost control, and document management.

– Experience with the Competent Authority is desirable.

– Project management experience is desirable.
