BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The SAP Business Analysis Professional will support Devon’s Accounting organization with a primary focus on the SAP Financial Accounting module and secondary focus on supporting downstream financial consolidation and financial reporting tools such as Essbase and OneStream.  The position will share support responsibilities with other SAP Business Analysts and Financial Application Support Analysts who will provide guidance, training, and support.  

The SAP Business Analysis Professional will gather specifications and requirements, perform analysis, resolve issues, and coordinate implementation of solutions. The scope of the role will include hands-on work within SAP and related accounting systems, including changing configuration/variants, debugging/troubleshooting issues, working with related business and IT contacts, documenting design change specifications, tracking testing plans/results, coordinating implementation, following up on post-implementation, and updating system documentation. This role will provide administration support of Essbase, support the financial tool integrations and nightly processes, and help with SQL queries as needed. Night and weekend work may be required at times based on support needs. 

 
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Accounting, Computer Science or other related field required
 
EXPERIENCE
• Prefer a minimum of 5 years of SAP Financial Accounting module support or related SAP Accounting experience
• Experience preferred in Corporate Accounting and/or Fixed Asset Accounting

 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Interact with Accounting business partners to conduct needs assessments, gather systems requirements, identify application solutions, and determine integration strategies
• Work with Accounting business partners to conceptualize business processes and apply information technology as a strategic asset
• Act as an expert business and technical resource to the SAP application support team in all phases of the implementation, development, and support processes
• Interfaces with Accounting business users to ensure that implemented solutions satisfy business requirements and are delivered in a timely manner
• Act as a liaison between the IT department, Accounting departments, and external vendors
• Contribute to application support where ongoing support falls within the scope of the SAP development team
• Aligns and coordinates with other IT departments for defining standard tools 
• Leads process development and redevelopment sessions
• Responsible for creation of project documentation and adherence to Devon Project Management Methodology
 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• SAP experience required.

• Oil and gas industry experience required.

• Experience preferred in Essbase administration, SQL queries, budget/forecasting, consolidations,  and/or intercompany eliminations
• Practice safe work habits at all times

• This team is predominately located in at our corporate office in Oklahoma City.
