Senior Contracts Engineer LPG – Paris

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS are looking for a Senior Contracts Engineer to work in Paris on a contract basis. This wil be a 12 month renewable contract, based residentially in Paris, paying a day rate in USD.

The role will be supporting the delivery of a large onshore LPG project.

Job Duties:

  • Coordination of tendering dossiers (technical Exhibits, T&Cs), the participation to and administration of the clarification / negotiation phases, the evaluation of contractual and commercial proposals and the preparation, in duet with the Packages Manager, of the final Recommendations to Award
  • Administration of the final set of contractual / commercial / technical documentation for the assigned contracts; preparation for signature of the assigned main contracts
  • After award, to contractually and commercially administer the awarded Contract and liaise actively with the technical management of Contractor
  • As a general manner, to administer all contractual and commercial activities related to Contract he / she is in charge of, up to close-out, in the frame and with respect to procedural obligations as per Agreements with Ugandan Authorities, Decrees and Laws in force, Partners Agreement and in strict compliance of delegation of authorities and associated Contract and Procurement procedures

Candidate requirements

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Law, Commercial or Engineering, ideally with a post-graduate qualification in a complementary discipline Experience in similar position
  • 15+ years’ practical, relevant and progressive experience in preparation, negotiation, monitoring of complex technical contracts in the onshore and offshore oil or petrochemical industries
  • International project experience
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of different means of contractor remuneration and their commercial implications, practical experience of their use.
  • Must be eligible to work in France
  • Previous experience working for an operator
  • Knowledge and understanding of project services and contract processes including management, amendment & close out of contracts.
