Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in our Colorado Springs office! As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing conceptual design through construction administration and post-occupancy, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Perform conceptual design through construction administration and post-occupancy
- Coordinate with multiple disciplines as an electrical engineer
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule
- Stay current on codes and technologies appropriate to the electrical disciplines
- Ensure conformance with standards, established design practices, applicable codes, and technical adequacy of design and construction
- Organize and conduct site visits for data collection and evaluation of electrical systems, equipment, components, and materials
- Develop and design within a BIM design environment
- Complete assigned engineering and design tasks in accordance with client-specified criteria and applicable codes and standards
- Review junior team member’s work for quality and recognition of training opportunities
- Lead junior engineers in engineering design development and professional growth
- Collaborate with internal and external project teams to execute projects from concept to completion
Requirements:
- Four-year college degree from an accredited engineering program
- At least 10 years of electrical engineering experience within a consulting or design-build firm
- Professional Licensed Electrical Engineer
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM PTW, and/or other design-related software
- Experience in the following markets: Federal, state and Local Government, Healthcare and Labs, Corporate Commercial, and Educational facilities
