Partner with the best
The Senior Endpoint Security Engineer supports the enterprise servers and workstations endpoint agents and clients. Acquire newly approved baseline releases from the enterprise, use Microsoft Config Manager (a.k.a. SCCM), Microsoft Intune, PowerShell, or manual methods to manage SCCM clients to push required clients and agents such as Windows Defender to remote servers and workstations, adhere to configurations, change, and release management procedures, and assist field support technicians with server and workstation patching problems
As a Senior Endpoint Security Engineer, will be responsible for:
- Establishing a client health baseline for MDE on Workstations and Servers
- Monitoring and reporting agent health state across enterprise, to ensure health compliance met the target set.
- Establishing a client health baseline for MECM on Workstations and Servers
- Assessing workstations performance issue and determine if it is caused by MDAV or MDE
- Assessing and suggest MDAV exclusions required for specific case.
- Working with EDR team for exclusions related to MDE.
- Working with multiple business and Cybersecurity teams on specific needs
- Leveraging reports, logs, scripts, and Microsoft provided tools such as Procmon, MDEClientAnalyzer, Performance Recorder/Analyzer. Should be able to analyze output/logs produced by these tools.
- Acting as a first line in responding to MDAV, MDE, MECM Solv incidents/requests.
- Identifying common issues across SOLV incidents/requests and discuss with Subject Matter Experts to improve existing resolution.
- Working closely with Subject Matter Experts on complex issues (MDAV, MDE, MECM)
- Keeping track of latest announcement/news from Microsoft pertaining to MDAV and MDE products
- Participating in root cause analysis for incidents when required.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a minimum bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience with strong knowledge of the innerworkings of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) Suite of products (Defender Antivirus (AV), Defender Endpoint detection and response (EDR), Defender Data Loss Prevention (DLP))
- Have a strong knowledge on client health for the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Client (MECM)
- Have an experience in troubleshooting MDE, Logs, Scripting (Powershell/VB Script) etc.
- Have 3+ years of experience with acquiring, reviewing, and releasing approved baseline releases, builds, and patches for servers or workstations using automated and manual methods.
- Have an experience with using Microsoft administration tools.
- Have an experience with using trouble ticketing systems, ServiceDesk or ServiceNow
- Experience with following service management concepts, including change management, configuration management, and release management.
- Have an ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Have a strong troubleshooting skills (Mostly utilizing client and system logs)
- Have a strong knowledge of WMI and Windows Installer.
- Have an experience in planning and deploying System Center 2012 Configuration Manager
- Have an experience in administering System Center Configuration Manager/Intune
- Have an experience in integrating MDM and Cloud Services with System Center Configuration Manager
