Job Description

We are looking for an analytical and collaborative Senior Financial Analyst to join our EDA team in our Crawley office.

Reporting to the Senior Controller Eastern Hemisphere in Norway, you will be part of a small, international, and supportive professional environment, and work closely with key decision-makers within the company.

The EDA UK office is a multidisciplinary group responsible for the development and planning, acquisition, processing, interpretation, and marketing of multiclient seismic projects located offshore in the UK, Africa, and the Middle East.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Monthly financial deliverables including profit and loss accounts and forecast updates for selected basins in the Eastern Hemisphere
  • Capitalization and revenue provision assessments
  • Budgeting and quarterly forecasting
  • Controlling both business line reporting and legal entity reporting whilst eliminating intra group profit as required
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Accounts receivables and collections
  • Accounting for agents and government agreements
  • Ensure external and internal auditors are provided with required information
  • Other related ad hoc requests

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree of Sc. in Business / Qualified accountant

Skills and Experiences

  • Relevant work experience can compensate for a lack of formal education.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proactive, organized, and accurate work habits, with a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Project management skills to organize workflows and specific projects. 
  • Commercial acumen to maintain up-to-date specialist and market knowledge.  
  • Ability to forge productive working relationships to advance the team’s work and support remote working.
