Job Description           


The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) is a high-impact role that is both a strategic partner to critical business leaders as well as an operational HR manager for the groups it supports.


 


Reporting to the HR Director, Resource Plays, the ideal candidate should have a strategic mindset and willingness to “roll up their sleeves” to ensure our Human Capital strategy is used as a guide to meet the needs of the client groups they support.  Furthermore, the successful candidate will have highly developed skills in the areas of project management, change leadership, talent management, organizational design/development, organizational culture, and employee relations. The HRBP will also build collaborative partnerships with HR COE leaders to plan, improve, and execute the delivery of HR services across the Resource Plays organization (e.g., annual talent assessment, performance management, succession, talent planning processes).


This position must be able to leverage internal and external best practices in HR, anticipate the impact of changes on the groups being supported and consult with leaders to make recommendations that will drive business results.   This position will have a project bias with responsibility for various continuous improvement and new idea initiatives.


 


Job Responsibilities:                        


  • Have a broad understanding and working knowledge of Human Resources practices, employment law, organizational design, talent management and financial analysis in order to provide tailored support to client groups
  • Establish and cultivate positive working relationships with senior leaders across the client groups supported.  Assess needs and make recommendations in support of people and/or change management, inclusive of business transformation, organizational design, evolution, and development
  • Assess HR implications of the business strategy and identify opportunities to further enrich organizational needs and enhance business performance
  • Take a continuous improvement approach to organization design, assessing the functional structure, processes, tools, and metrics required to achieve current goals and enable future growth
  • Participate and at times lead the implementation of company-wide HR initiatives
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and leadership on hiring candidates and in identifying key skill gaps in the organization


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field of study
  • 7+ years of experience in HR or related field.
  • Previous HR Business Partner and/or HR Generalist experience
  • Oil and Gas experience preferred
  • Project Management Skills


  • Excellent presentation and verbal/written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local employment laws, compensation philosophies, HR operating procedures and best practices
  • Experience conducting, documenting and messaging variety of employee relations issues
  • Experience partnering with managers to deliver HR solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive in anticipating the needs of the business and developing responsive/supportive HR strategy
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
