Duties
• Participate in Engineering Reviews and Engineering Validation Activities including but not limited to HAZID, HAZOP, Studies, Operability, Front Loading Commissioning in design, SCE’s and Performance standards in Commissioning Procedures.
• To independently review & develop various complex commissioning deliverables, analyze the documents and highlight the shortfalls through vigorous review process and address these shortfalls with the team.
• Develop Onshore and Offshore Commissioning Procedures for Marine Mechanical Systems and supporting Mechanical Systems / Requirements for equipment.
• Develop / review commissioning schedule & optimize the duration
• Provide technical support as required for marine related equipment
• Optimize FSR requirement & engagement on site during commissioning
• To support in developing project deliverables as per project & client requirement.
• Prepare & Review of company development work methodology / procedures.
• Capable of managing demanding expectations of clients which may range from addressing gaps to unexpected work scope variations while ensuring conformance to the project, regulatory and contract requirements.
• Attend FAT and SAT depending on project requirements.
• Independently deals with regulatory authority, class, vendors and clients with regards to comments or queries on commissioning deliverables and develops technical/engineering solutions to the issues raised.
• Carry forward the HSEQ policies / requirements to the team and meet overall HSEQ objectives in all projects / feedback results to corporate HSEQ team.
• Participates in meetings with the project team to review progress and addresses interface/implementation/execution issues where necessary based on the standard procedures, practices and lessons learnt from past projects to ensure that the project proceeds timely and smoothly.
• Perform duties as per directives of reporting authority.
• Leads site execution team on performing pre-commissioning and commissioning activities planned for Marine Mechanical systems, managing the interfaces with Construction and Pre-Operations teams, ensuring adherence to Operations safe system of work regarding all the Marine System Commissioning SoW.
• Commissioning of Marine Mechanical systems, functional tests and system certification with Class Society.
• Responsible for verification and close out of all safety critical elements associated with the package.
• Ensure all regulatory and statutory testing and requirements are performed and records are maintained.
Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) with 14 to 17 years work experience (or) Master Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) with 12 to 15 years work experience with minimum of 10 years work experience in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas area or FPSO line(s). Also Diploma in Engineering with 17 to 20 years work experience (making the equivalent to degree) can also be considered.
• Ability to define concepts of completion process.
• Experience in design of FPSO’s including FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning & start-up phase.
• Experience of Marine Mechanical Systems and EPCIC to handover to operations
• Experience in Utilities Systems, Emergency & Essential Diesel Generator, Fire Fighting & Safety System, LQ Marine Utilities & Life Saving Systems, LQ HVAC & Machinery Spaces Ventilation System, Deck Systems – Cargo Pumps, Ballast Systems, Tank Gauging, Cargo Offloading & Mooring, Hydraulic Remote Control Valve System, Deck Cranes, Chain Jack, Riser Handling & Mooring System & Inert Gas Generator.
• Experience in marine equipment & package technical specification, such as specification and mechanical data sheet
• Experience in leading the team in troubleshooting the Marine Utilities Systems, Emergency & Essential Diesel Generator, Fire Fighting & Safety System, LQ Marine Utilities & Life Saving Systems, LQ HVAC & Machinery Spaces Ventilation System, Deck Systems – Cargo Pumps, Ballast Systems, Tank Gauging, Cargo Offloading & Mooring, Hydraulic Remote Control Valve System, Deck Cranes, Chain Jack, Riser Handling & Mooring System.
• Have thorough knowledge of marine equipment internals
• Have knowledge of industrial codes and standards is desirable
• Have proven project experience and skills in Testing, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning execution and startup offshore.
• Experience in offshore plant startup and stabilization and able to provide Operations with technical support throughout start-up, stabilization, and performance testing.
• Experience in commissioning and startup of Marine Utilities System, Essential Generator, Emergency Generator & Fire Pump Diesel Generator & Inert Gas Generator
