About the Role

We are actively seeking a visionary and forward-thinking Senior Production/Reservoir Engineer with a flair for digital innovation to join our dynamic team and lead us into a new era of technological advancements. In this role, you will have the opportunity to transform our legacy workflows and processes using the latest data analytics and visualisation tools.  

You will be laying the groundwork for a future where data-driven insights and digital solutions empower our decision-making and optimise our operations. You will provide technical expertise and mentorship to build the reservoir engineering capabilities of the future. We are looking for someone passionate about leveraging data to gain insights and drive business impact. You will work cross-functionally to connect databases and integrate results across disciplines.  

Key accountabilities include:  

  • Apply reservoir engineering and production engineering knowledge to identify opportunities for digital optimisation
  • Proficient in using existing industry software to analyse data, build models, and generate insights
  • Collaborate with the Digital Ops team to develop and implement digital solutions that align with business objectives
  • Conduct thorough technical evaluations of proposed digital initiatives, considering feasibility, impact, and ROI
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in digital operations
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation, procedures, and guidelines related to digital initiatives
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as a technical subject matter expert

About You

To stand out in this role, we are looking for candidates with demonstrated industry experience in:

  • Strong technical skills in reservoir engineering and production engineering
  • Proficient in using industry-standard software for reservoir modelling, production optimisation, and data analysis
  • Relevant experience in Production Systems models
  • Experience in implementing digital solutions or participating in digital transformation initiatives (desirable)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong focus on data-driven decision making
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable insights for diverse audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
