As a Production Engineer in Production & Operations, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing production processes and ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities. You will also be responsible for identifying potential opportunities.
As a Senior Production Engineer, you will report to the Operations Manager and can expect to be:
  • Responsible for daily monitoring of well performance and communication with host 
  • Responsible for production allocation and reporting according to requirements
  • Responsible for interpretation of well performance, including well test review, identify and solving any production problems
  • Responsible for providing accurate production inputs to network model  
  • Responsible for well optimisation in day-to-day operations
  • Responsible for initiating and drive production optimisation studies from business case to implementation
  • Work closely with the facilities group to optimise well performance
  • Participate in formal well reviews
  • Interface with other support groups on production operations issues
  • Demonstrate good HSEQ performance and act as a role model for safe practices
  • Work closely with the asset team to set priorities and ensure work plan alignment
  • Contribute and participate in follow-up of operated and non-operated assets, this includes participations in license meetings (RC, TC, EC, MC) as required

Education requirements: 
  • Relevant University degree
Work experience:
  • Minimum 8 -10 years of relevant experience in oil & gas operations focused in production optimization activities (production engineering).
  • Working knowledge on petroleum engineering subjects, nodal analysis, integrated production modelling (IPM), production optimization, field surveillance and flow assurance.
Personal qualities and preferred skills:
  • Trust, care, open-minded and brave
  • Experience in different artificial lift design and optimization methods
  • Strong competencies integrated production modelling tools
  • Knowledge of relevant technologies for inflow and outflow optimization, stimulation, enhanced perforating, enhanced well treatment techniques, etc.
  • Previous experience in both offshore (platform operations and subsea) and onshore projects
  • Strong written and oral skills to efficiently communicate ideas, plans
  • Teamwork and collaboration with different stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Strong problem-solving capacities
  • Detail-oriented focus on reaching the tasks/objectives proposed.
  • Enthusiastic, open and driven individual with strong HSEQ skills.
  • Ability to identify and quantify the main uncertainties and risks in appraisal, field development and reservoir management
  • Good knowledge of Oil & Gas projects and Operations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
  • Good knowledge of relevant rules, regulations and requirements relevant for NCS
Language skills: 
  • Fluency in Norwegian (Mandatory) and English. Fluency in Norwegian is required due to interactions with the host platforms (daily operations meetings and operational duty conducted in Norwegian)
