My client are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join them in Qatar, focusing on offshore asset decommissioning projects.
Role Overview:
Lead comprehensive project management services for offshore asset decommissioning, overseeing all phases from project inception and definition through to removal, disassembly, and materials disposal. You’ll ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead project teams in executing offshore decommissioning projects
• Develop and implement Project Execution and QHSE Plans
• Oversee planning, cost control, budgeting, and contract administration
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and contractors
• Prepare tender packages and participate in evaluation processes
• Manage risk registers and mitigation strategies
• Interface with operations teams, government authorities, and stakeholders
• Process variation orders and contractor claims
• Mentor and develop local talent
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 12 years’ experience in engineering and project management within oil & gas
• Offshore decommissioning experience highly advantageous
• Experience in engineering coordination during concept studies, FEED, and EPIC
• Strong communication and team-building skills
• Professional engineering/project management certification preferred
• Willingness to work in offshore environments
• Experience working with diverse, international teams
