The position

In the United States, Equinor is one of the largest offshore wind developers, with a lease area off the coast of New York, split between Empire Wind 1 and Empire Wind 2 projects, and one off the coast of California, Atlas Wind. Equinor is also developing an offshore wind staging port in New York at the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal (SBMT) which will be the primary project that this role supports.

By joining our team in Renewables you will have the opportunity to:

  • Deputize or act on behalf of engineering or project manager in tasks or parts of scope 
  • Work as one of the lead engineers towards the overall project development with an understanding of the main deliverables required to ensure project success 
  • Project manage early phase ops ensuring contractor and task readiness as well as providing oversight during execution 
  • Establish interface coordination between key suppliers while providing verification checks for design compatibilitycompleteness and regulatory compliance 
  • Follow up of Contractor’s engineering activities and performance within agreed scope and task responsibility 

Coordinate multidiscipline engineering tasks ensuring: 

  • Quality and timely input from relevant disciplines 
  • Technical solutions are developed and aligned with best practice and technical leading advisors in the base organization. 
  • Maintain a wholistic view of project deliverables and establish key project interfaces for efficient collaboration 
  • Technical solutions are developed and aligned with Equinor’s governing documentation. 

You

  • A Bachelor of Science in a relevant engineering discipline or a relevant engineering degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in a project engineer or project manager role in large scale energy / civil infrastructure or related projects types 
  • Able to understand appropriate level multi-disciplinary engineering details of the project while engaging with discipline leads for in-depth technical support
  • Field or operations experience a plus
  • Must be a collaborative team player with strong communication skills
  • Salary range $156,340 to $234,563
