  • Ensure compliance of applicable Functional Requirements such as project delivery, project quality management and Stage Gate process
  • Collaborate with the designated Project Manager regarding the process to initiate, plan, execute, provide follow up and close projects coordinated with the Project Controls Manager.
  • Create the standardized forms related to the process to initiate, plan, execute, provide follow up and closure of the project in case there is no form provided by the Global Project Delivery team (GPD) or from other relevant central function in the organization.
  • Develop and maintain the Project Integrated Schedule
  • Review suppliers’ schedules and manpower plans and provide adequate feedback to project controls manager and the project team on potential shortcomings or risks.
  • Maintain timely awareness on project performance against planned schedule
  • High focus on interfaces, identify and proactively follow-up critical activities in coordination with relevant technical discipline team-members
  • Perform and/or coordinate trend and schedule risk analyses, identify potential changes and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure the Project Manager is aware of project float and any ongoing or emerging risk or issue that might jeopardize the project schedule.
  • Provide guidance as required to ensure consistency and quality in the planning process and recommend corrective action where necessary.
  • Responsible for the development of a project risk register to provide for identification, mitigation and monitoring of project risks with potential schedule and costs impact
  • Prepare regular and timely progress reports, rolling up contractors’ schedules into an overall integrated project schedule, detailing progress against planned schedule, for circulation to project management, license partners and stakeholders
  • Monitor and review the project controls element of contractor performance throughout the contract life cycle; recommend corrective action where necessary
  • Responsible to implement the project change management process and lead the project team in the change management process (including planning for changes, monitoring changes, controlling changes and administering changes)

  • University degree or other relevant education.
  • Professional Experience (Required experience in a clearly definable field of activity and total years)
  • 10+ years relevant experience, preferably with both operators and contractors
  • Experience with Pims is preferred
  • Experience with Mexican field development projects is preferred
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Strong interest in project management and a proven know-how in the application of project management techniques like scheduling, budgeting, reporting, etc. and the associated IT tools
  • Must be familiar with the processes, tools and deliverables associated with the Project Management knowledge areas: Integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communication, risk, procurement and stakeholders’ management.
  • Deeper knowledge of scheduling methodologies such as critical path method, PERT, Gantt crashing are preferable.
  • Deeper knowledge with the process to identify, assess, and follow up on project risks is preferable.
  • Result-oriented with a balanced focus on: HSEQ – Production – Cost awareness – People
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and cooperation skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high tempo environment.
