Senior Project Manager is required in the Central Belt, Scotland. An Internationally renowned company that is quickly becoming a sustainability champion within Renewables, their portfolio consists of 3GW across Europe, and they are looking to expand their reign of influence to Scotland. You will be responsible for sourcing and developing land opportunities for solar and wind developments in the UK.

The candidate must be familiar in proactively identifying and acquiring land. You will be involved in the planning process, being an integral member within the relevant teams. From feasibility to pre-construction, you will be conversant in negotiating favourable terms. Possessing the previous experience in building and maintaining close relationships with legal advisors, consultants, farmers, property owners, and streamlining the development process independently.

Other duties include.

  • Attending local planning or parish meetings.
  • Being an ongoing point of contact between the company and planning authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Building and maintaining key relationships with local land agents across the UK.
  • Reviewing EIA studies, highlighting budget and risk concerns to Management.

The ideal candidate will oversee projects, working closely alongside the key management team, you will be required to possess the following essential criteria:

  • Degree in planning or related field- environmental land engineering surveying discipline.
  • At least 5 years of Industry experience
  • Experience acquiring large scale plots land for renewable energy development.
  • Confident in composure, excellent communication for liaising with local authorities and planning departments.
  • Knowledge of option to lease land rights, well versed in negotiation.
  • Ability to forge long-term professional relationships with landowners and land agents.
  • Full driver’s license to travel to prospect sites.
