Candidate Profile
This candidate holds a numerate honours degree and has relevant professional experience. They excel in writing robust, reusable code and have extensive expertise with major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and IaC technologies (Terraform, ARM Templates, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef). They are proficient with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Bamboo, Bitbucket Pipelines, CircleCI, Travis, TeamCity) and scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell). They also have experience with DVCS tools (Git, Mercurial) and container technologies (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Fargate, ECS).
They are motivated to learn new programming languages and techniques, and have a solid understanding of distributed computing, data and application architectures, basic networking, security, and infrastructure. They possess proven production experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, and can integrate cloud services with on-premise data sources and clients.
With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, they are effective technical presenters, organized, methodical, and capable of multitasking under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of the Upstream industry and its strategic drivers.
- Experience with multi-tier, high availability, cloud and on-premise data engineering solutions.
- Proficiency within the Microsoft Azure tech stack.
- Experience in dynamic Agile-based teams.

- Provide cloud computing expertise and support for cloud-native solutions.

- Produce cloud and software architecture designs from business requirements.
- Ensure best practices and HQ standards adherence.
- Maintain consistency across development squads through the Technical Framework.
- Act as a reference for cloud-native solutions and ensure support agreements.
- Offer expert advice and training to the team.
- Review change requests for justification and technical soundness.
- Promote process, procedure, and IS improvements for cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Recommend IS expenditure for cloud enhancements and projects.
- Ensure system integrity and compliance with standards.

- Participate in regular security, software component, and cost optimization reviews.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design, development oversight, delivery, and support of cutting-edge cloud-native software solutions. You will lead all aspects of Cloud Application architecture, defining and contributing to the overall strategy of TEPUK. As the technical authority, you will set the standard for cloud architecture, frameworks, and best practices for our affiliate.
