The position

By joining our team in Technology, Digital & Innovation you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be part of a long-lived autonomous team, with a strong focus on continuous learning.

  • Work with engineers, scientists and researchers to develop software tools that meet their needs.

  • Craft quality software using a selection of programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and paradigms such as imperative, functional, object oriented, declarative.

  • Work with high performance software that implements statistical methods and engineering knowledge.

  • Rely on well-established development practices, including versioning (git, semantic versioning), testing (TDD, unit, end-to-end, property testing, etc.), CI/CD (Github Actions & Azure DevOps) and software development patterns.

  • Spend part of your time diving into hot topics such as open source, application security, data engineering, robotics, or anything else you can think of.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within software development.

  • Programming experience of one or more of the following languages: Python, C/C++.

  • Previous experience working with complex data, algorithms, numerics, physics or business critical domains.

  • Passion for coding high quality software, coupled with innate curiosity.

  • Ability to problem solve and an eagerness to learn and develop.

  • Team player attitude: give and receive feedback on a daily basis, join pair programming sessions, contribute to establishing best practices and common guidelines.

  • Good English language skills, both written and verbal.
