POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of a multidiscipline team, the Senior Reliability Operator manages the delivery of production targets through competent operation and maintenance of oil and gas production sites. The Senior Reliability Operator is self-motivated, managed, and engaged in the planning process. They demonstrate to peers and the Operations Lead ownership of the facility equipment and systems. The role assures minimum impact on the facility operations and demonstrates good environmental stewardship to assist with the delivery of production targets and maintain compliance with Group Practice as defined in Hess Operational Excellence Expectations. The Senior Reliability Operator also provides key oversight, operation, and troubleshooting using LEAN tools of Pumping units, ESP’s, separation vessels, storage tanks, piping, flares, etc. found on production sites. The work location for this position is Tioga, North Dakota. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will be charged with supporting Area Leadership in coaching, training, and supporting Reliability Operators and embedded Maintenance Technicians to perform their roles within Safety, Quality, and Productivity standards. In this capacity, the role acts as a field leadership position to encourage and embed change to support the Reliability Operations execution model and components therein.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides on-site contractor coordination (day-to-day)
- Performs second-level response; provides direction to Reliability Operators.
- Coaching and mentoring of contract and employee staff.
- Aligns with engineering (Process, Production) on day-to-day activities.
- Relay operating/safety problems or concerns to supervisor.
- Perform and oversee preventative (Autonomous) maintenance on water gathering equipment.
- Perform minor repairs on failed operating equipment.
- Adhere to and oversee written operating procedures for shutdown and startup of equipment.
- Adhere to and oversee lockout/ tagout procedures in preparing equipment for maintenance work.
- Actively participate in various elements of process safety.
- Actively participate in tailgate safety meetings, JSA’s and monthly safety meetings.
- Participate in emergency response activities as required.
- Participate in HazOp reviews as required.
- Daily review of Theta, XSpoc. Iconics, ODR and SAP for reporting and exception monitoring.
- Assist keeping well locations free of trash, weeds, and general clutter.
- Support RO’s as needed checking water gathering pipelines and facilities ensuring high system availability.
- General knowledge of well pads and associated water gathering network.
- Making sure roads and locations are clear and safe to travel for water trucks.
- Maintain a good working relationship with water haulers and assist where needed.
- Having knowledge of water transfer skids, how they operate and being able to diagnose if problems
- Develop AM SWI documents for associated equipment.
- General knowledge of truck operations to ensure safe loading/unloading practices
