HYBRID ELIGIBILITY

This position works a hybrid schedule, spending time remotely and in the office in Tioga, ND. The current hybrid schedule provides flexibility to collaborate in the office Tuesdays through Thursdays and work from home Mondays and Fridays. With our 9/80 feature you get time off every other Friday when you work at least 80 hours over the preceding nine days.

 

 

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst will report to the Procurement Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for contract and vendor management, procurement, competitor analysis, stakeholder engagement, cost optimization and other supply chain responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, develop internal and external stakeholder relationships, and work with multidisciplinary teams.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Demand Planning: Participate in and understand demands from ongoing asset operating rhythm and facilitate annual demand planning with the business and category management to ensure alignment of priorities.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data on supply chain operations to identify areas for improvement and enhance efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain processes and reduce costs.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify and recommend cost-savings opportunities within the supply chain.
  • Procurement Process: Understand the procurement principles and the procure-to-pay process, contract language, negotiation, sourcing, and processes.
  • Supplier Sourcing: Conduct or participate in asset-based sourcing and coordinate asset endorsements.
    • Negotiations: Support the negotiation of various agreements, ensuring optimal terms and pricing are achieved.
    • Procurement Process: Understand the procurement principles and the procure-to-pay process, contract language, negotiation, sourcing, and processes.
    • Vendor Setup: Initiate vendor setup for new providers and obtain justification, when necessary, from the business if a sourcing event is not conducted.
    • Contract Negotiation: Understand the procurement principles and the procure-to-pay process; contract language, negotiation, sourcing, and processes.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
    • Contract Administration: understand, follow, and incorporate the procurement policy, purchase mechanics, category management, and procurement roles and responsibilities.
    • Pricebook maintenance: Maintain contract price books and manage contracts coming up for expiration. Optimize spend through contract review and identifying operational efficiencies.
    • Invoice Resolution: Provide support for invoice inquiries and resolution.
    • Risk Management: Develop or obtain risk management strategies to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
    • Performance Monitoring:  Track supplier performance and manage supplier relationship meetings with core suppliers utilizing safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people metrics.
    • Contractor Onboarding: Complete contractor onboarding, facilitate contract kickoff, and provide key contract information to business owners to understand and execute within the scope of the agreements.
    • Safety Management: Support the business and EHS teams to address supplier safety improvements and IsNet requirements.

 Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or related fields, a Master’s Degree can be advantageous.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of sourcing, contracting, demand planning, or related supply chain experience, preferably in procurement.
    • ERP system experience, including Purchase Orders, price books, and Master Data, preferably SAP.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, Spotfire or other relational databases.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with various departments and stakeholders.
    • Provide direction to team members emphasizing quality, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction, environment/health/safety, and morale.
    • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and influence others.
