The position
By joining our team in Exploration & Production Norway you will have the opportunity to:
Uphold the Technical Authority role for the Static Mechanical discipline.
- Responsible for assessing the functions and condition of the Performance Standards (PS) SECEs relating to the Static Mech discipline.
- Develop and own Safety Environmental Critical Element Performance Standards o UKCS regulatory requirement
Follow up and assurance of technical requirements, legislation, functionality, and PS impairments within the assigned area of responsibility for Equinor UKI operations.
Provide competent technical advice and guidance to offshore and onshore personnel with respect to the performance of SECEs and/or assurance activities related to the Static Mechanical discipline, e.g. through Operational Risk Assessments (ORAs).Travel offshore for ad-hoc trips to support efficient operations and integrity assurance/audit functions.
- Provide competent technical advice and support for continued operation of business-critical equipment and/or assurance activities related to the Static Mechanical discipline.
Represent Equinor as required, in all external stakeholder engagements relating to Static Mechanical discipline matters including interface towards HSE (Health and Safety Executive) and OEUK etc.
Provide discipline input to Management of Change process, in coordination with other technical system authorities. Preparation and participation in relevant verifications (e.g. safety case, verification scheme).

Candidates with Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant subject. Chartered Engineer preferred. Experience may compensate for lack of education.
Extensive experience in Offshore Operation & Maintenance required, with previous experience as a Technical Authority preferred.
Possess a high level of understanding of how to interact with business-critical technical systems in a safe manner based on risk and consequence analysis.
Have the ability to communicate issue to all levels of the organisation and positively influence stakeholders.
Possess the ability to handle responsibility and occasional high workloads.
