We are looking for a Subsea Lead Installation Engineer to join our Installation and Project Engineering Department within the Global Project Centre business unit. You will be responsible for installation delivery of different packages such as, but not limited to:

  • Subsea structures.
  • Soft products (flexibles, umbilicals, power cables);
  • Mooring systems;
  • Conventional works (jackets, decks, bridges, flares).

You will prepare the scope of work and then support the offshore team during the operations. You will ensure the interfaces with the Client, suppliers, offshore crew and the design team. You will have a key role in the full project life cycle.

This role, is based in Lisbon (Portugal)

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Manage and lead a team of engineers and a package.
  • Manage all external (clients, suppliers) and internal (other disciplines, installation, manufacturing, purchase) interfaces;
  • Prepare documents and preliminary studies related to tenders, FEEDs and projects developed by the Group;
  • Supervise the engineering activities related to the preparation and offshore installation of the products;
  • Plan, prepare and confirm specific procedures (validation test on site, transportation and installation) and associated calculation notes (e.g. rigging design) by defining priorities.
  • Participate to vessel mobilization as well as installation phases on vessel to validate technical solutions by respecting the rules of the Group HSSEQ;
  • Ensure that your activities are conducted in compliance with the Project standards in terms of Quality, Cost & Time;
  • Assume technical ownership and ensure choice of contractors and supervise subcontracted studies;
  • Validate concepts and manage changes accounting for HSSEQ criteria;
  • Validate developments and propose appropriate improvements, considering the group’s HSSEQ standards;

CAPABILITY PROFILE:

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge, skills, experience, and behaviours in the following areas:

  • Graduated with a M.Sc. in Engineering (Mechanical, Ocean, Civil, Offshore) with relevant work experience in the energy business;
  • Experience in SURF, Conventional or Renewable Installation Engineering Scopes (at least 5 years);
  • You have experience of Site (yards) and Offshore Operations;
  • Strong communication skills and keen interest to work with other disciplines/departments;
  • Experience in leading teams is a plus;
  • Problem solver mindset with critical eyes for the details;
  • Excellent ability to work within a multi-disciplined and multicultural team;
  • Solid skills of English are required (comprehension and communication);

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Majority of the work is carried out in the home office site Lisbon Portugal;
  • Requirement for some international travel;
  • Offshore/Off-site location during project execution phases as required.
