Tech Prof Leader-Technology Sr

Job Duties

Responsibilities include: Supervises, leads, and manages a cross-functional product team (engineers, technical staff, product team leaders) to deliver successful projects across diverse areas. Supervises and mentors product owners and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle. Develops and executes strategic product roadmaps aligned with departmental goals, ensuring product vision is translated into actionable features. Provides performance management for team members, including goal settings, performance reviews, and development coaching. Recruits, interviews, and hires talented personnel to build a high-performing team. Collaborates with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, QA) throughout the lifecycle in executing corporate initiatives and projects. Champions quality standards by promoting adherence to HES quality directives and best practices. Leads process improvement initiatives for the software team. Tracks project progress, monitors performance metrics, and drives optimization. Provide input on design standards and consult for complex projects. Collaborates with external consultants to develop solutions and manage project design and milestones. Promotes best practices and quality standards throughout the development process. Communicates product vision, roadmap, and strategy to internal and external stakeholders. Fosters collaboration within the product team and inspires team ownership of product vision. Participates in Agile methodologies, attending Scrum meetings and sprint reviews. May telecommute. 

Qualifications

Requirements: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a software development – Tech Prof Leader- Technology related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following: 

      1. Experience as a certified Agile/Scrum Product Owner. 

      2. Experience leading multiple projects at once with a team of direct reports and leading Geo Distributed Team. 

      3. Experience with Software Development Project Management Software such as Microsoft Azure Dev Ops, Jira, Rally, etc. 

      4. Experience leading integrated products in the Oil and Gas Industry with an emphasis on Well Completions. 

      5. Experience with edge computing involving remote high-latency low connectivity environments and ModBus OPCUA. OPCDA communication protocols. 

      6. Experience with inventory and multi-currency integration within SAP. 

      7. Experience with Cassandra Database Administration in installing, configuring, and upgrading databases, as well as Cassandra Data Modeling, NoSQL Architecture, Keyspace, Table creation, & access administration. 

      8. Experience designing, operationalizing, maintaining, and scaling production Kafka clusters, with administration and maintenance of in-memory databases Redis. 

      9. Experience with C#, Python, XML, JSON technologies. 

     10. Experience with Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) using WPF/XAML and MFC.
