Technical Risk Advisor

  • Perth, CBD 
  • Office based with travel and work Offshore as required.
  • 1 Year Contract 

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing their duties in a responsible manner in keeping with Australia’s HSEQ Policy.

  • Act as the Functional Authority for Process Safety Management System Development & Implementation.
    • Monitor performance against Process Safety KPI’s and maintaining an overview of corrective actions and advise on trends or areas requiring intervention.
    • Facilitate formal safety assessment studies (HAZOPs, HAZIDs, FME(C)As, Bowties, Fault Tree Analysis, Impairment Tree Analysis, Course QRA, ALARP Assessments, Emergency Systems Survivability Analysis, Escape Evacuation and Rescue Analysis, Fire & Explosion Analysis, non-hydrocarbon hazard analysis, Pipeline Risk Assessments (PRA));
    • Co-ordinate the PSAF HSE Audit Schedule and lead internal/external process safety related audit. 
    • Act as an independent HSE Engineering Reviewer of MOC proposals and technical documents as requested
    • Maintain risk registers associated with company facilities and update the Safety Cases to ensure regulations are complied. 
    • Monitor performance against Process Safety KPI’s and maintaining and overview of associated Corrective Actions and advise of areas requiring intervention.
  • Ensure Operational documentation is developed, maintained and monitored, and:
    • Review and coordinate Safety Case development for client Facilities. 
    • Identify where changes/activities may have a material impact on the Safety Case. 
    • Liaise with Regulatory Departments to ensure Safety Case are managed and adhered to effectively.
Qualifications & Experience:

  • Engineering Degree with Technical Safety and Risk Experience
  • HSE auditor qualifications
  • 5+ Years experience in Technical Safety and Risk roles, focus on oil & gas.

  • Compliance Analysis & Assessment,
  • Due Diligence & Permitting
