They are looking for a candidate with previous Trading Analyst experience (or a similar role) who has exposure to products trading e.g LPG, Crude Oil etc. This role is for someone who is keen to develop their skills in the Trading Analyst position with a high degree of motivation to potentially progress into a Trader position.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis of client and market data in order to help developing and executing trades.
- Data entry for each Cargo purchase and sales, Hedges, Freight and logistics costs, purchase and sales prices and additional costs related to each transaction.
- Prepare various reports, calculations and research projects: Market analysis (supply and demand, global crack spreads, margins) and Internal reports on trading activity.
- The role may also require assistance with the following tasks: Risk management and market monitoring (learn basics) and dealing with Shipping Department, other Trading desks and Overseas offices in Houston and Singapore as instructed by traders;
- Dealing with Counterparties (including the clients Group divisions) as instructed by traders.
Requirements:
- University Degree in a Quantitative Studies (Engineering, Math, Statistics, Physics or IT)
- Strong mathematics and programming skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop skills such as strategic thinking, decisiveness and risk awareness.
