Summary

The Driver is responsible for delivering supplies and inventory to camp.  The Driver also transports staff to and from camp for their work rotations. The Driver will assist the camp staff with unloading supplies.  Travel to remote locations is required. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate e-logs and operating within compliance requirements
  • Chaining tires in the winter when necessary
  • Delivering supplies to camp
  • Assist with loading and unloading of supplies to camp storage area
  • Assisting with camp start-ups and shutdowns
  • Transportation of camp staff
  • Visual inspection of truck and minor maintenance daily
  • Maintaining proper records of fuel receipts and mileage
  • May be required to occasionally stay overnight at camp depending on location and weather conditions
  • Abide by the safety standards as set out by Precision
  • Report all incidents and/or injuries to PCS Management
  • Various other tasks as required

 

Knowledge & Skills

Ability to continually lift 50 lbs. to unload the truck

Familiarity with e-logs

Ability to work extended hours and be away for 4-5 days at a time

Some mechanical knowledge would be an asset

GODI (ENFORM) driving course and current first aid would be an asset

Ability to send a current driver’s license abstract with application

 

Education

High School Education, GED, or Equivalent is required

 

Experience

Class 3 with air brake license

Minimum 2 years of truck driving experience – Off Highway experience preferred
