This role is an exciting opportunity that has a direct impact in shaping the future workforce of Devon Energy by attracting and developing early career talent. This role is responsible for managing & executing the full life cycle of early career recruitment, which includes summer internship programs, university event calendars and engagements, partnerships with student organizations, as well as development of new graduate programs. Located in Oklahoma City with flexibility to work from home on some days. Candidate must be able to travel to universities and Devon offices (within the US).

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or any other related discipline and/or commensurate work experience is required. 
  • 2-3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Human Resources specializing in areas such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Employer Branding, or a related field. 
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Applicant Tracking Systems and General Labor and Employment Laws.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Campus Recruitment:
    • Partner with leadership, Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs), and college teams to present recruitment market trends to continually build and enhance the campus recruitment strategy.
    • Collaborate with our campus recruiting teams to drive the execution of diversity focused initiatives that identify and attract underrepresented talent in support of our hiring priorities.
    • Consistently evaluate partner universities to ensure alignment with the company’s talent needs and recruitment goals.
    • Coordinate logistics with the campus recruiting teams in each department to schedule, coordinate, and attend campus events, and panel interviews with prospective candidates.
    • Manage campus recruiting budget for core schools and track all expenses.
    • Manage and track the ROI on each campus event and gather feedback from attendees.
  • Internship Program:
    • Responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluation of the company’s internship program.
    • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, team and project assignments, mentorship, and final evaluations of interns, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and values.
    • Collaborate with HRBPs, Compensation, and Devon leadership to prepare, negotiate, and extend offer packages to candidates.
    • Assign mentors to interns and provide training to mentors on effective mentorship practices.
    • Provide ongoing support to interns, addressing any concerns or issues that arise during the internship.
    • Develop and administer surveys to gather feedback from interns, mentors, and stakeholders.
  • New Graduate / Early Career Development:
    • Facilitate the hiring and onboarding process for new graduates, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
    • Develop and implement onboarding programs tailored to new graduates, focusing on their integration, training, and development.
    • Coordinate with HRBPs and department leaders to ensure new graduates receive the necessary resources and support.
    • Monitor the progress of new graduates and provide ongoing support to ensure their success within the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Analyze feedback and data to identify trends and areas for improvement in the internship program.
    • Implement changes and enhancements to the program based on feedback and best practices.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in internship program management.
