The position
This position manages the technical and operational deliveries of the US Control Center, which will control Empire Wind 1 and eventually more wind farms across the country. This role reports to the Director, US Renewables Operations.
By joining our team in Renewables you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead US Control Center Operations in alignment with Safety, Environmental and Operations policies.
- Be responsible for Control Center personnel, including shift planning and ensuring relevant competency is maintained
- Promote productivity and teamwork by means of open communication, timely decision making, and personal leadership skills to set high standards of performance while providing the direction necessary to achieve performance.
- Develop, implement and revise Control Center operational policies and procedures to improve performance and ensure regulatory and electrical safety compliance.
- Monitor and evaluate operations & maintenance activities to expedite return of equipment and systems to service
- Facilitate coordination with commercial operations and Power Markets by maintaining regular communication with various departments regarding unit status, deratings, wind farm availability, operational risks, and scheduled maintenance that may impact unit performance daily.

- A Bachelors degree is required
- 5+ years of full-time supervisory experience within a wind farm, power plant, steam generation, or utility environment.
- A thorough understanding of and demonstrated ability in management and supervision in a control room environment
- Demonstrable ability to understand and execute the technical operations of various systems using multiple SCADA computers systems under both normal conditions and stressful emergency conditions.
- A working knowledge of safe work procedures, environmental rules and regulations and NERC reliability standards.
- You are expected to be available for on-call and emergency response support
- Salary range $143,233 to $214,850
