Position Title: SURF Flowline Lead Engineer
Location: Paris, France (initially), transitioning to Contractor engineering sites during project execution
Duration: 1.5 years minimum, up to 5 years, with potential renewals
Start Date: ASAP
Status: Residential

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team driving innovation while addressing significant technical and environmental challenges. The Venus Project is committed to optimizing reserves, schedules, costs, and greenhouse gas emissions while maintaining the highest safety and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

As the SURF Flowline Lead Engineer, you will:

  1. Lead engineering activities for rigid flowlines, spools, jumpers, and associated structures across Pre-Project, FEED, Call for Tender, and EPCI phases.
  2. Ensure compliance with H3SE&Q standards, technical codes, and project requirements, maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
  3. Prepare and deliver technical packages for SURF EPCI Contracts, managing tender evaluations and technical clarifications.
  4. Oversee the design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and pre-commissioning phases to ensure readiness and fitness for purpose.
  5. Liaise with cross-functional teams to address interface matters and participate in project reviews.
  6. Act as the primary technical reference for flowline-related matters, ensuring timely resolution of technical challenges.
  7. Contribute to the development and maintenance of project management documentation, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in engineering.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 15 years in detailed engineering and execution phases, including procurement, fabrication, and installation of rigid flowlines, spools, and jumpers in deep water.
    • At least 10 years working on large offshore oil & gas SURF projects.
    • Demonstrated experience with major SURF Contractors in deep-water project execution.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in very deep-water projects and rigid flowlines.
    • Strong knowledge of DNV standards and TotalEnergies General Specifications is preferred.
    • Proven ability to thrive in a multicultural and complex project environment.
  • Languages: Fluency in English; proficiency in French is advantageous.
