Job Summary
Description:
The Senior Server Analyst position is within the IT infrastructure organization that supports the global Windows Server environment. This role will be accountable for day-to-day support, technical design, planning, and implementation of enterprise Windows server environments for major datacenters as well as remote locations. Advanced troubleshooting of both physical and virtual servers as well as effectively communicating root cause analysis and recommendations will also be required.

Your responsibilities
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining the operating system and hardware on Windows based servers
- Participating in Follow the Sun support for global infrastructure servers
- Developing and promoting standard operating procedures
- Conducting audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
- Being available to perform tasks outside normal business hours and on weekends as well as being on call for at least two weeks per quarter
- Technical mentoring of junior level administrators
- Available as an escalation point for technical concerns
Basic/Required:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- 7+ years of experience with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems including but is not limited to, network/system performance, reading system logs, windows driver debugging and crash dump analysis
- 5+ years direct experience in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and supporting virtual environments
- 5+ years of experience with diagnosing enterprise hardware (HP Enterprise, Dell, Cisco, etc.)
Preferred:
- 3+ years of experience with a detailed understanding of Microsoft SCCM for patch deployment
- Experience with RedHat Ansible Platform for server automation.
- Intermediate knowledge of VMware vCenter for server administration
- Intermediate knowledge of PowerShell scripting
- Basic knowledge of vRealize Operations for the purpose of advanced performance analysis
- Basic knowledge of cloud IaaS technologies
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform tasks outside normal business hours and be on call for at least two weeks per quarter
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to install and configure server related hardware. This includes rack and stack, cabling, etc.
- Understanding of WAN, TCP/IP, DNS
- Operations experience in an Enterprise datacenter environment
- Knowledge of Change Management and how it affects Global infrastructure
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and a self-starter
- Listens actively and invites new ideas for shared understanding, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results
- Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals
