Job Scope
• Provide guidance on functional technology, driving current processes, providing and leading improvement initiatives, leading multifunctional teams, and working with the functions and shareholders to development and implement well integrity solutions.
• Reports to Head of Well Integrity Compliance.
• Daily contact with Onshore and Offshore Operations, Production Performance, Production Planning, Well Intervention and Petroleum
Engineering Department.
• Frequent contact with HSE, Subsurface Quality Department, Integrity Engineering, Supply, Warehouse, Drilling and Completions and
Projects.
• Periodic contact with Shareholders and neighbouring ventures.
• Contact with material and service suppliers and contract personnel as required.
Key Job Accountabilities
1. Analyse well integrity technical and operational issues, including providing well integrity technical and operational advice and influence department and Asset Teams on related issues.
2. Develop multidisciplinary programs and investigations related to well integrity including well site engineering support and/or operations supervision as required to execute well integrity interventions and investigations.
3. Provide technical and operational leadership to internal and project teams.
4. Propose integrated and effective solutions to well integrity problems.
5. Implement technical and operational strategies in support of the department and group’s objectives, ensuring well integrity practices are aligned with accepted industry standards and best practices and corporate guidelines.
6. Advise and train personnel on well integrity issues to timely respond to unplanned well shutins and bring wells to safe status and normal operating conditions. Advise on well reliability plans (spare management, contract availability, execution planning and procedure readiness)
and assess their effectiveness.
7. Advise new ventures during planning phase and start-up to ensure well integrity best practices are incorporated.
8. Establish technical and operational programs and procedures related to well integrity including recommendations and/or implementation of the appropriate technology in company operations.
9. Coordinate with other sections and departments on matters related to well integrity.
10. Achieve high awareness and commitment to safety. Be a leader in operations safety.
Qualifications
8 years post-degree, relevant working experience including well integrity compliance, rig based & rigless wellwork, workovers,
drilling and completions and production engineering and operations. Offshore experience is an advantage.
5 years working with multidisciplinary teams.
Significant experience with well integrity management, including knowledge and understanding of wellheads and trees and their
maintenance requirements, subsurface equipment, cased hole and production logging, wellbore flow assurance, injection well
design, tubular design, sustained casing pressure management and leakoff testing.
Experience working in or with a major international and integrated oil company.
Fluent in English (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to communicate with several organizational levels.
Demonstrated ability to use common PC software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project) and functional specific software.
Requires strong analytical, organizational and planning skills.
